Who this covers
This site, blakeblackwell.com, is operated by Blake Blackwell ("I", "me"), based in Canada. Questions about this policy go to blake@blakeblackwell.com.
What I collect
- What you type into the application form: your name, email, phone number if you give one, and your answers to the three questions. This is the only personal information the site asks for.
- Booking details when you pick a time, which are handled by Calendly under Calendly's privacy policy.
- Server logs: the web server records the pages requested, the time, and the requesting IP address, the way every web server does. These logs are used only to keep the site running and are rotated automatically.
The site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving the font file.
Why I collect it
To prepare for and hold the call you booked, to follow up about it, and, if you become a student, to run the mentorship. Nothing else. I don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Where it lives
Applications are stored on a server I control, hosted with DigitalOcean. Booking data lives with Calendly. Email lives with the email provider attached to the address above.
How long I keep it
Application records are kept for 12 months, or until you ask me to delete them, whichever comes first.
Your choices
Email me at the address above to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. I'll do it within 30 days and confirm when it's done. If you're in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (for example PIPEDA in Canada, GDPR in the EU/UK, or CCPA in California), those rights apply to you here and the same email is how you exercise them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how I use your information will be told to you directly if I have your email.
